Howard is the Chairman of local housebuilder Shropshire Homes who also sponsor Shrewsbury Town FC. Having founded the company in 1981 he has recently stepped down to a part time role giving him time to pursue other activities. He is currently a trustee of Ironbridge Gorge Museum and has also been a trustee of the Shropshire Wildlife Trust.

He has been a Town supporter since moving to the county in 1971 and dreams of the Club reclaiming its rightful place in the second tier. He also enjoys hill walking with his dog, travel, watching cricket and playing badminton.

Howard became Chair of our Trustees in 2019.
