New to 2021, STitC’s Golf Society will bring together local golfers, Friends of the Community and Charity Partners in a ‘Race to the Meadow’.

Set with the theme ‘Race to the Meadow’, our Golf Society will encompass four rounds of Golf at two local golf clubs, with only one team being crowned the Race to the Meadow Champion.

The Golf society will be £60 per player, which includes all 4 rounds of Golf, with a 4- ball team competition added in. Golfers will tee off from 1pm and will be in teams of 4. If you can only make one date, don’t worry! You can book just one date for £15 per player.

With the first round teeing off at Arscott Golf Club on Thursday 29th April 2021, Director of the Club, Paul Buckley commented:

“Arscott Golf Club, as a Community Amateur Sports Club, is open to the whole community to provide facilities for the playing of golf. Our link with Shrewsbury Town in the Community gives us a great opportunity to work with a like-minded organisation to showcase the friendly and affordable experience we provide for our members and visitors.”

Derek Bennion of Church Stretton Golf Club added:

“CSGC (Church Stretton Golf Club) wants to be involved with STITC because we can see that their great work in Shropshire ranges across all ages and aims amongst other things to extend good health and well- being to as many as can be. In our own small way, CSGC does the same by offering people of all ages the chance to exercise in beautiful surroundings and take up the challenge of golf in a friendly Club atmosphere. As such we are delighted to have the opportunity to entertain STITC and Friends and share some well-being! We look forward to welcoming you in a few weeks’ time.”
