Shrewsbury Town in the Community are pleased to announce the launch of their Poetry Competition.
Alongside the Premier League, Shrewsbury Town in the Community run the Primary Stars programme to 12 schools across Shropshire, helping improve Children’s skills in a number of topics including Literacy, PSHE, and PE.
As part of Premier League Primary Stars programme, Shrewsbury Town in the Community are one of several community trusts who are pushing their new Writing Stars competition. The theme of the poetry competition is resilience and the task to children is: what does it mean to you to try and try again?
Alongside this, Shrewsbury Town in the Community are opening this opportunity up to anyone in Key Stage 1 or 2 at primary schools to submit their poem into a local competition, with the chance to win 2 tickets to a match for the winning entry from each key stage, as well as having their winning entries published in the programme and on the Community’s website, www.shrewsburytowninthecommunity.com.
Entries can be submitted to [email protected], and must be submitted by the 22nd December 2017. The winner will be announced in the new year.
