This Christmas, Salop Leisure invite you to take part in their virtual festive family fun run with the annual Santa Dash.
Between 21st November and 20th December Salop Leisure will host their festive family fun run with proceeds being donated to Shrewsbury Town in the Community.
The Santa Dash and Elf Dash are set to go virtual this year and participants will be asked to choose a distance of 5k or 10k, choose a date, choose a route, and join in on the fun!
Participants are free to walk, run or jog at their own pace and will all receive their own Santa suit and bespoke medal to help spread some festive cheer across Shropshire!
Laura Wilde from Salop Leisure commented:
“Due to the situation this year we decided to organise Santa and Elf Dash virtually. Many charities have missed out on much needed fundraising this year due to cancelled events so we are delighted to be supporting STITC over the festive period, whilst spreading some Christmas cheer around the county. It’s a great opportunity for families and bubbles to spend time together whilst being active and having a good time. We are looking forward to seeing everyone’s Santa or Elfie selfies!”
Jamie Edwards, CEO at Shrewsbury Town in the Community is excited to be taking part once again,
“In 2019 the Salop Leisure Santa Dash raised an incredible £500 for Shrewsbury Town in the Community, so when Salop Leisure asked us to get involved again this year we jumped at the opportunity. Salop Leisure have been a huge support over the years and we are incredibly proud to have them as one of our Friends of Community.”
