Pupils showcase Value Monsters in new art project

Pupils from two of our partner schools combined their talents by designing Value Monsters for a new art project at Shrewsbury Town FC.

Earlier this month two of our partner schools, Christ Church CoE Primary School and Millbrook Primary, took part in a monster designing workshop lead by Primary Schools Coordinator, Simon Tisdale.

These workshops aimed to get pupils thinking about the positive values that they had learnt on the Premier League Primary Stars programme which teaches young people about teamwork and caring for others.

After creating an array of colourful creatures, we collected the pupil’s designs to produce a “Value Monster” board which will be permanently displayed along the foundation’s Community 3G Pitch. Additionally, pupils were entered into a competition where the winning designs, as voted for by our judging panel, would win some exciting Shrewsbury Town FC prizes!

‘This workshop inspired art  has demonstrated a cascading impact from the pupils to the schools and to our wider community. We hope this unique piece identifies our community strengths and inspires others to be part of it’

– Simon Tisdale, Primary Schools Coordinator
