We had an incredible turnout for our February Half Term activities!
Throughout half term we held a number of engaging activities to keep children active outside of school. Our team of coaches delivered a range of Soccer Schools and Multi Sport sessions in both Shrewsbury and Ludlow, which welcomed 395 participants in total including a visit by Shrewsbury Town F.C.’s own Ryan Bowman. In these sessions, children not only learnt football skills, but also the power of teamwork and inclusivity. As a charity, one of our main aims is to use the power of sport to engage and inspire, and we are very pleased with such an incredible turnout for the half term activities to promote this attitude.
In addition to this, we also hosted a number of football tournaments that brought teams from across the country to our Community 3G Pitch. The series of tournaments ranged from Under 9’s to Under 12’s and across them had a combined total of 480 players taking part. We’d like to thank the great team of volunteers who helped us to run these tournaments, as well as the students and coaches that persevered despite the weather ranging from sun to snow. We saw an amazing display of football from the teams and we are excited to host our next tournaments in the near future.
