In the first month of its availability since launching for the 2018/2019 season, Junior Shrews sign-ups have hit record numbers.

To celebrate the launch of this seasons package, membership rates were reduced by a third to £10 for the season when signing up to the gold Junior Shrews package, while it is still free to register as a silver member.

With over 100 young Shrewsbury fans signed up the gold membership package, this has seen the majority of this years sign-ups so far, with members having already attended one of their annual events.

The event saw nearly 60 members attend the Junior Shrews launch event, where participants were treated to coaching sessions and small-sided games ran by Shrewsbury Town in the Community coaches, as well as a question and answer period with Shrewsbury Town stars Alex Gilliead and Greg Docherty before being able to collect their membership packs for the season.

Speaking of the success that Junior Shrews has had so far this season, Head of Community Jamie Edwards said,

“It’s great to see the Junior Shrews programme heading towards its potential. With this year showing record numbers, it shows that the success on the pitch last season and this year’s incentives have helped to encourage a new generation of younger supporters to come to the Montgomery Waters Meadow and enjoy watching professional football.”
