Beginning with primary school sessions through to University qualifications, we offer the necessary courses to create pathways to employability.
Currently only 39% of the UK population have achieved National Vocational Qualifications of level 4 or above, through the implementation of new courses and educational support we aim to allow students to thrive in their studies and contribute to the increase of the educational average.
By equipping students with the vital skills needed for their future, we want to reduce the unemployment rate in Shropshire which currently stands at 3.4%. Thanks to partnerships with national initiatives and support from local partners, we are able offer employability programmes that teach life skills and provide the next step into the workplace.
Through our primary education delivery, our team has continued to teach essential skills for both mental and physical wellbeing to children across Shropshire, and as a result we have been able to reach over 4,500 participants in the 2022/23 season, with children reporting an increase in confidence as a result.
By working in partnership with local secondary schools, the alternative provision pathway has helped us to engage with students who were withdrawn from mainstream education. As a result of these sessions, students have not only completed level 1 qualifications but have also seen a notable transformation in attendance, with rates soaring from below 50% to over 80%.
Alongside SCL Education, Shrewsbury Town FC Foundation offers an ever expanding College and University programme which gives young people access to study at the only professional football club in Shropshire. These courses aim to make students workforce ready and prepare them for a career in sport.
We want to provide opportunities to help individuals achieve their goals and realise their potential, but we can only do this with your support.
