This December, as well as our Soccer Schools we will also be running the Holiday, Activity and Food Programme (HAF) in both Shrewsbury and Ludlow.
Funded by Shropshire Council, the HAF programme allows children in receipt of free school meals in Shropshire to gain access to free activities during the school holidays. As well as multi-sport activities, the children also receive a hot nutritious meal each day.
With Christmas around the corner, we wanted to go the extra mile for these families at a time which is celebrated by many but can be a tough financial time for many families across Shropshire and beyond.
Carrying on from last year and with the incredible support of Tuffins Supermarket, we will be providing a Christmas Hamper at the end of the HAF programme, that each child can take home for their family. The Christmas Hamper will contain everything families will need for a Christmas Dinner, without the turkey.
Also, as part of our HAF offer, we’re asking our Shrewsbury Town Family to come together this Christmas and donate gifts so that the children can pick, wrap, and gift their loved ones a present this Christmas.
And this is where we need you!
Whether it’s a gift set or some chocolate, any and all donations are much appreciated and will help to make someone’s Christmas extra special.
Donations can be dropped off the Foundation Building or club reception on matchdays.
Even the smallest donation can help make the biggest smiles.
