In line with the government’s decision on the 13th March to move from the ‘containment’ to ‘delay’ phase of their approach, Shrewsbury Town in the Community are suspending all delivery of sessions to all vulnerable groups until 3rd April with immediate effect.
This will include all Disability and Health sessions which deliver activity to groups of older adults and to anyone with underlying health conditions as our duty of care remains paramount to this situation and we are acting pro-actively with this interest in mind.
Please see below for a list of the affect sessions:
Monday:
Walking Football @ Wilfred Owen
Shrewsability @ Shrewsbury Sports Village
Tuesday:
Extra Time Hubs @ Mercedes Benz Football Hub
Walking Football @ Ludlow Football Stadium
DCD Football @ Mercedes Benz Football Hub
Wednesday:

Thursday :

Friday :

Both the Community Football Hub and Ludlow Football Stadium will remain open but assessed daily and we will be increasing the frequency of cleaning at all sites.
We are assessing the status of all other sessions and advise all participants to follow government guidelines and not attend any session if they feel unwell, are at high-risk with a pre-disposed condition or have had any contact with anyone known to have been in contact with the virus.
We will be following the advice of all leagues and fixtures in which we partake and assessing fixtures on a case-by-case basis. Currently, our fixtures in the CEFA League have been suspended by the EFL and we will circulate information on any other leagues when it becomes applicable.
All programmes which are not on the list above are running as scheduled but we reiterate that we advise all participants to be sensible, cautious and follow government and NHS guidelines.
