Shadow Squads 

U13s – Hereford F.C 1 – 2 Shrewsbury Town 

A dominant performance and two fantastic finishes from Marley and Hayden earned the points for Salop. The team showed great character to see the game out. Three stand-out performances came from Owen Jackson, Tom Pritchard, and Fin Mantle. 

U14s – Shrewsbury Town 2 – 5 Berkswich

Extremely pleasing performance despite the scoreline. The game was consistently played in the opposition half with them only scoring on the break with lots of positives to take from the day.

Stand out players were Oliver Speake, and Tsvetomir Bedzhev

U15s – Abbey Hulton 5 – 4 Shrewsbury Town 

A poor start to the game from Salop saw them 5-1 down in the first hour as the team just weren’t at the races. However a spirited last 20 minutes almost saw them take something from the game but ultimately the opening 60 minutes cost the team the game. The best performances on the day came from George Thomas, and Elijah Robb. 

BTEC 

Development Team – Shrewsbury College 1 – 4 Shrewsbury Town

A closer game than suggested by the scoreline. Some good chances were created but the team just couldn’t find the back of the net, Town just ran out of legs at the end allowing Shrewsbury College to run away with the game. Stand out players on the day were Jake Jenkins and Carl Murch. 

Elite Team – Shrewsbury Town 4 – 2 Rotherham United

A great performance from the Elite team saw the team moving the ball really well and creating some good chances. Salop did seem to switch off a little when 4-0 up allowing Rotherham to claw a couple of goals back, but overall the team played well throughout. Stand out performers were Oli McDougall and Harvey Lewis.
