Some of our Football Development participants were delighted to be given tickets to our Second Round Checkatrade Trophy game on Wednesday night, courtesy of Checkatrade.  

The free tickets were split between different age-groups, both boys and girls, and gave the participants a great chance to watch the Shrews first-team in person. They even got to see a victory as Shrewsbury Town ended up as 2-1 winners against Walsall and progressed to the Third Round of the Checkatrade Trophy.  

Our Football Development pathway offers young players the chance to progress within the game and provides a pathway up to an elite playing level. Opportunities to see professional games like this first hand are a great way to help further their development.
